Jewelers’ Security Alliance (JSA) is a non-profit trade association with 21,000 members that has been providing crime information and assistance to the jewelry industry and law enforcement since 1883. JSA fulfills its mission of informing and alerting jewelers about crime through frequent E-Mail Crime Alerts and print publications, a web site, seminars and consulting activities. JSA also works closely with the FBI and local law enforcement agencies, sharing its data and analysis in order to further the war on jewelry crime.
The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) was formed in 1917 to provide education and self-regulation to the jewelry industry. Members operate under the highest standards of business practice after pledging to comply with all laws applicable to the jewelry industry and make accurate representations about the products they sell.
The Jewelers Board of Trade is dedicated to the welfare of its members and the jewelry industry overall, providing industry specific credit information, collections and marketing services.
Jewelers For Children (JFC) was founded in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry with the mission of helping children in need. Since its inception, JFC has donated more than $48 million to programs benefiting children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse, or neglect through its charity partners, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Make-A-Wish America Foundation, the Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation and the National CASA Association. Firestar Diamond Inc. is a Sponsor Underwriter of JFC and executives, Samuel Sandberg and Joshua Weinman, are members of the JFC board of directors.
The Fisher House is best known for donating to the U.S. Armed Forces, a network of comfort homes where families of can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving long term medical treatment, or undergoing rehabilitation. Today 65 such homes, located at major U.S. bases and VA medical centers nationwide, serve the nation’s most precious resource, its military men, women and their families. The program has saved these families an estimated $200 million in out of pocket costs for lodging and transportation.
The Plumb Club is a unique coalition of leading manufacturers spanning all facets of the jewelry, diamond and watch industries with the common denominator of being “Best in Class”. The Plumb Club’s membership of 45 firms accounts for 20%-25% of the $8 billion American fine jewelry market. Firestar Diamond has been a member of the Plumb Club since 2007.
